Jessica Simpson Will Never Forgive John Mayer
Jessica Simpson The pop star was horrified when she read the singer/songwriter’s recent Playboy interview, in which he branded her “sexual napalm”. John has since written to Jessica to apologise for the comments, but she has refused to reply, saying she feels “betrayed”.
"Yeah, I couldn't read the article,” an emotional Jessica told The Oprah Winfrey Show. “I heard about it and I saw some of the clips and stuff. I tried to read the article and I was so disappointed in him.
"It made me so sad, and it was really discouraging because that's not the John that I knew. I felt betrayed. I just, you know, I hope he gets his life together. He did apologise to me. I haven't written back. I don't accept it... I don't resent him. I'm just going to let that go. That part of my life is over.”
John and Jessica dated in 2006.
The blonde beauty also got emotional when she was discussing the pressure on women to be thin. She travelled around the world for her new documentary series The Price of Beauty, and revealed she sobbed when she met an anorexic French model.
“It's a really hard thing for me to talk about because I celebrate women of all sizes, and I think we're all beautiful,” she said. “I cry… it makes me very emotional.
“Just the pressure that women feel to be thin… The pressure that the media puts on women is so unfair and so disgusting and if I can do something to make it better, that's the reason why I did the show."
