Lady Gaga Would Never Be Seen Without High Heels

Lady Gaga would rather “die” than be seen without her high heels.

The flamboyant singer is famed for her outrageous outfits, which often see her going to dinner in her underwear and performing in lace body stockings. She insists her fashion sense is pivotal to her career, and doesn’t understand why other stars don’t make more effort.

“I would rather die than have my fans not see me in a pair of high heels. I'd never give up my wigs and hats for anything,” she told British interviewer Jonathan Ross. “You see legendary people taking out their trash, I think it's destroying show business. I feel completely detached from the celebrity world, you never see me falling out of nightclubs.

“Be whatever you want to be, it's not about emulating me... it's all right to be different.”

Gaga added her outspoken opinions on the state of the music industry have not made her many friends in the business. Despite winning three prizes at the recent BRIT Awards, she didn’t talk to a single other artist while she was there.

“I didn't speak to anyone at the Brits,” she explained. “I'm an outcast from the music industry. I don't have any friends in the music business. People in Britain are the ones who've really been my friends.”

The 23-year-old also spoke of her grief following the death of designer Alexander McQueen, who she worked with closely. The star is still struggling to cope with his passing, explaining she feels as if she has no-one to “inspire” her anymore.
