Duncan Bannatyne Dragon’s Den resident miserable Scot Duncan Bannatyne is making himself even more dour as he enters divorce proceedings with his wife of 5 years.
The 62 year old Health Club multi-millionaire, who has residences in places as diverse as France and Stockton on Tees, is thought to possibly be having to sell off some of his smaller companies in order to pay the hefty divorce settlement that is likely to be heading his way.
Staff at his clubs, hotels and bars have been told that all will be done to save jobs if that does happen, but it is all up in the air at the moment.
An interim settlement funding agreement of £1000 a day has been requested by Joanne McCue, and that’s before the lawyers get themselves involved. But considering the businessman is worth an estimated £450 million. That doesn’t mean he’s likely to give up the money easily.
