Michael Jackson's Son Rescued By Security Guards
Jermaine’s son Jaafar, 13, purchased the immobilising device on the internet three weeks ago. Randy Jackson claims it was confiscated by Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson and locked up, but Jaafar and his brothers and sisters managed to obtain the weapon last week and tried to use it on his cousin Prince Michael II, known as ‘Blanket’.
Multiple sources have told gossip website TMZ.com that security guards at Katherine’s Los Angeles home heard a strange noise one afternoon last week and went up to the second floor of the residence to investigate. Once there, they were allegedly forced to “stop Jermaine’s kids from stunning Blanket”. They then confiscated the gun.
Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services officers visited the Jackson family home in Encino on Monday night at approximately 10.30pm. They interviewed Katherine and several unnamed Jackson children about the alleged attack, and confiscated the stun gun. The social workers returned the next day for unknown reasons.
Katherine Jackson’s lawyer Adam Streisand confirm the social workers had visited the family home for “routine” reasons and not because any children were in danger.
“Mrs. Jackson is doing the utmost to safeguard the welfare of her grandchildren,” he said.
A family friend has also denied Blanket was ever in any danger. The source confirmed Jaafar was playing with the gun, but claims he was only using it to shoot inanimate objects.
“Jaafar fired the gun into a piece of paper,” the insider said.
Another source claims the child was only using the weapon for around four minutes before he was caught. They also claim Blanket wasn’t even in the room when Jaafar was experimenting.
Child services have launched an investigation into the incident, and are reportedly planning to interview all children who live in the Jackson home, as well as all employees.
