Kimberley Walsh Stops Planning Her Life
Kimberley Walsh The Girls Aloud singer admits she used to be the type of women to obsess over exactly when she wanted to get married and have children. She wanted to wed at 28, and welcome her first child at 30, but now she has reached her first age deadline, she has decided she is happy to just let her life play out.
“I was like that but not anymore,” she said. “I still know girls like that now, who have all these ideas about what should be happening when and I just think, ‘You’re ruining it for yourself!’
“Probably in the past I would have said I’d like to be married by the time I’m 28 and have kids by the time I’m 30, but now that I’m 28 I feel like now is the time to concentrate on my career and if it means doing that other stuff later and having a better life when we’re older, then that’s my priority.”
Kimberley has been dating singer Justin Scott for six years. They are more in love than ever and despite trying to relax, Kimberley admits she would love them to start a family together.
“I am broody,” Kimberley told the British edition of OK! magazine. “In an ideal world, I would like to be married so we all had the same name, but if we weren’t it wouldn’t really be an issue.”
