Colin Farrell worked alongside Woody Allen for two months in 2007 but only spoke to him for a total of four minutes.

The 33-year-old Irish actor starred in Woody’s thriller Cassandra’s Dream, and was thrilled to be working with the legendary director. Colin enjoyed every minute of their collaboration, but was shocked by Woody’s hands-off approach to filmmaking.

“I managed to have about four minutes of conversation with him in the two months it took to shoot that movie,” Colin said. “He’s lovely though, very f**king easy. Two takes, move on. He just wants to go back to his clarinet.”

Woody is famed for his passion for playing the woodwind instrument, and often performs in public.

Colin has worked with dozens of famous directors, but found Steven Spielberg one of the easiest to talk to. He says Spielberg has a special way of making everyone on set feel at ease.

“I worked with Spielberg on Minority Report and he was really easy. He’s somebody that surrounds himself with good people so he’s fine with delegating. There was a real sense of ease on the whole set,” he explained.
