Simon Cowell Engaged
Simon Cowell Rumours began to circulate that the music mogul had popped the question earlier this month, after Mezhgan was spotted sporting a large band on her ring finger. Simon’s mother Julie confirmed the speculation, but Simon has remained resolutely tight-lipped on the matter.
However, Mezhgan has now revealed he has proposed to her, and hinted the couple are planning a wedding in the near future.
“But, gorgeous brunette Mezhgan told RadarOnline.com’s executive vice president David Perel that indeed, she and Simon are getting married,” the website reports. “And the wedding date? Well, we promised we wouldn’t give everything away, but let’s just say don’t put off shopping for their wedding gift too long.”
Simon and Mezhgan met while working on US talent contest American Idol, and have been dating for around a year. The pair live together, with Simon’s publicist saying they are incredibly happy together.
“They are very suited. She is someone who is independent and says what she thinks and feels, and he likes that,” Max Clifford said. “He's probably the happiest I have ever known him in the nine years I've been working with him.”
Simon is understood to have proposed with a £250,000 ring from upmarket jewellers Graff while the couple were enjoying a romantic meal on Valentine's Day earlier this month.
