Cheryl Cole has reportedly decided not to fight for a divorce settlement following her split from husband Ashley.
According to The Sun, Cheryl will avoid a financial battle because she wants her ex out of her life quickly.
The Girls Aloud star recently announced that she is separating from Ashley following a number of infidelity allegations.
A source told the Sun: "Cheryl has not yet appointed a divorce lawyer but she is going through names and setting up meetings. She says she wants the divorce to go through as quickly as possible. Her statement made no mention of a divorce, but that was only for Ashley's sake.
"She will not be fighting for a huge settlement. She just wants to get out fast so she can press on with life and move on. The initial advice is that it speeds up the process if there is no claim for money. The more the couple can agree on, the quicker they can get their divorce stamped."
The singer, who has just returned from a trip to LA, is likely to focus all her efforts into eradicating all trace of the footballer from the Surrey mansion they shared.
