Nicole Richie Plans To Have Daughter As Her Bridesmaid
Nicole Richie The reality TV star revealed her engagement to the Good Charlotte rocker last week. The couple are now planning a big “family wedding” that is expected to take place on May 1 this year in the grounds of Nicole’s father Lionel Richie’s Los Angeles mansion. The ceremony is rumoured to include white doves, emotional personalised vows and special roles for the couple’s children Harlow, two, and five-month-old son Sparrow.
“Nicole’s daughter Harlow and her best friend Mischa Barton will be bridesmaids,” a source revealed to British magazine More! “They want a big family wedding with all their loved ones and no drama. They plan to walk down the aisle then release white doves after exchanging personal vows.”
Nicole has reportedly already chosen a couture Monique Lhuillier gown, while Joel is planning to wear an Armani suit. Lionel Richie, Joel’s band Good Charlotte and celebrity DJs Mark and Samantha Ronson have reportedly agreed to perform at the reception and most of the guests have already been invited.
But the insider claims one person has deliberately been left off the long guest list. Nicole’s childhood friend Paris Hilton is reportedly not invited to the wedding because Joel thinks she would try to steal the show.
“Joel put his foot down and said Paris would try to make it all about her, but it’s their big day, so they didn’t invite her,” the source added.
