Pete Wentz: I Can’t Be Mr. Mom Anymore
Pete Wentz doesn’t want to be a house husband anymore.
The star is currently taking a break from his band Fall Out Boy and was looking after his 15-month-old son Bronx while his wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz appeared in a Broadway production of Chicago. Now Ashlee has finished her theatre stint in New York and has returned to the family home in Los Angeles. Although Pete enjoyed his time with Bronx, he accepts it is time to get back to work.
“Staying home - it’s awesome. I can’t be Mr. Mom anymore,” he told the American edition of OK! magazine. “I’ll have to go out and get a job.”
Ashlee, 25, is thrilled to be back with her family, revealing she has missed spending quiet nights at home with her rocker spouse. The singer-and-actress has praised Pete for his thoughtful gestures and says the couple are hoping to expand their brood soon.
“Our date nights are always at home. Pete’s always doing something romantic. We cook for each other, chill, watch TV,” she explained. “Children are the most beautiful gifts you can have in your life. I love being a mother. Definitely, we’d love to have more kids.”
