The Scottish actor and his wife Anne-Marie Duff recently announced they were expecting their first child. The baby is due later this year and James couldn’t be happier.

“Ah yes, the baby,” he told BBC Radio 2 DJ Steve Wright. “It is great. I’m preparing for my greatest role! I’m not telling you when it’s due though. It’s due when it’s ready!”

James, 30, and Anne-Marie, 39, married in 2006. They live in North London despite their successful Hollywood careers, and James says they don’t feel any pressure to move to the US.

“We live in North London so I don’t spend a lot of time over there in Hollywood. When my career started to take off, it seemed like the next logical step but then I realised that most films shoot in Europe or Africa or Australia,” he said. “I would be moving over there just to fly back here again. I’ve probably spent a maximum of eight weeks of my while life in Hollywood.”
