Beyonce Wanted To Run Off Stage After Telling Jay-Z She Loved Him
Beyonce The singer won six awards at this year’s ceremony and admits she couldn’t believe what she had said. Beyonce and Jay-Z married in a private ceremony in April 2008 and are notoriously private about their relationship.
“I wanted to run off the stage. Like, ‘What did I just say?’ He was shocked like, ‘What are we doing? What are you doing?’ but it was just a genuine moment and I looked in the audience and I saw my nephew and I saw my cousin Angie and I saw him… and it’s the first thing that came to my mouth,” she said on Tyra Banks’ talk show. “I didn’t think about it, it just came out. After I walked off the stage I just bawled because that’s when I realised what just happened to me and everything I have been working for my whole life, it paid off that night.”
Beyonce is renowned for her work ethic but is now ready to take some time off from work to be with Jay-Z. The star also spoke about how excited she was to collaborate with her musical peers Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys.
I’m ready to take some time off. I am going to Brazil to film a video with Alicia Keys. I’m so excited to work with women,” she said. “I’m a girl’s girl so to show that women that are successful can support each other and have a good time, I’m just so happy to bring that message across with Gaga and Alicia Keys.”
