Jude Law hacked?
Jude Law Jude Law has launched legal proceedings against the newspaper for articles published in 2005 and 2006. His former fiancée Sienna Miller won £100,000 in damages last month from the News of the World for the repeated hacking of her phone.
This new revelation will bring Rebekah Brooks back under the firing line as she was editing The Sun at the time of the alleged hacking, aswell as editing the News of the World during the alleged hacking of victim Milly Dowler’s voicemail. Brooks resigned from her post at NOTW before the company came to the decision to close.
Of the recent news, The Sun has said that they ‘believe this is a deeply cynical and deliberately mischievous attempt to draw The Sun into the phone-hacking issue.’ They go on to state that ‘The allegations made in this claim have been carefully investigated by our lawyers and the evidence shows that they have no foundation whatsoever.’
It is unknown yet what the stories are that prompted Law to take legal action.
