Jessica Biel didn’t realise she’d fallen in love with Justin Timberlake for some time.

The Hollywood actress has been dating the singer for around three years, and although there have been persistent rumours their relationship is on the rocks Jessica insists they are happy. She has revealed they have a strong foundation of friendship which cements their romance, adding it took her a long time to see Justin as a potential suitor. “I don't know if I believe in love at first sight. I think often you can meet somebody and you don't realise it, until later and then you go 'Oh my God, I think that love happened, I just wasn't sure that it happened,’ ” she explained.

Last year, it was claimed the pair were on the verge of splitting after Justin was seen partying without Jessica. Neither has commented on the claims, but it has been suggested they took time away from each other last autumn to concentrate on their careers. The break showed them how much they meant to each other, and they are now back on track.

“Justin was staying in New York by himself, working a lot and going out with his friends. They visited each other a little bit and Jess missed Justin, but she was willing to give him space. It really worked out because by the time the holidays were coming, Justin was back and focused on Jess,” a source explained. “Justin loves Jessica and he wants to be with her. She makes him happy, they have so much in common and she is a good fit for him.”

Jessica, 27, has previously said her relationship with Justin is the most important thing in her life, which is why she will never speak about it openly.
