Katie Price and Alex Reid had a bed as big as a “football pitch” on their honeymoon.

The couple wed in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas last week, following Alex’s win on UK reality programme Celebrity Big Brother. Alex has revealed the pair decided to tie the knot in the party city so their big day remained private, adding the experience was the best day of his life.

“So me and Katie have done it – we’re finally married! I feel incredible happy,” he told British magazine Star. “We went to Vegas for the wedding because we really did want to keep it private. The ceremony was at the Wynn hotel and we kept it pretty simple. I don’t want to go into too much detail but Katie, of course, looked stunning. We stayed in the penthouse suite at the Planet Hollywood hotel, which is like three apartments in one. Our room has the best view across the entire strip and our bed was enormous – like a football pitch!”

Alex confirmed reports he and Katie celebrated their union by visiting a strip club, revealing the Sapphire Gentleman’s Club is owned by one of his pals who personally invited them to attend.

The couple wish their families and friends could have seen them tie the knot, but are planning a huge celebration later in the year. “People have said it’s a shame lots of our loved ones weren’t at the wedding, but we are going to have a big party with them back in the UK soon,” he said.
