Jennifer Aniston 'attending couples' therapy'
Jennifer Aniston The actress recently went public with her romance with Justin Theroux, who she met while shooting upcoming movie Wanderlust. She has spoken about how happy she is to be dating the actor, and he even accompanied her to her Hand and Footprint Ceremony in Hollywood this month.
It’s now been claimed Jennifer has been talking to a counsellor, who has helped her get over some of her relationship issues. Her marriage to Brad Pitt ended in divorce after he met current partner Angeline Jolie while making a film. It’s been claimed the experience left Jennifer fearful of future relationships, something she’s not overcome.
“She’s been doing a really intensive form of couples’ therapy on her own. She’s conquered the crippling trust issues she had,” a source told British magazine Look.
“They are so, so madly in love. He makes her feel happier than she has ever done in her whole life. Justin isn’t like the other guys she has met, he doesn’t pretend not to be into her, he tells her how much he loves her and all he asks for is honesty in return.
“Jen says Justin completes her and that if she hadn’t had therapy, she may have driven him away.”
Jennifer has been open about using therapists in the past. Several years ago she admitted regularly visiting a counsellor to talk about her life, something the 42-year-old found invaluable.
“It's true that I spent some time regularly taking part in sessions with a psychiatrist,” she said at the time. "By the way I find it to be very normal to lie on a couch every once in a while and to let your head be straightened out. And your heart."
