Nick Cannon Says Mariah "Hates" It When He Is Messy
Nick Cannon Nick married 40-year-old Mariah in April 2008 and admits he struggles to cope with the strict rules imposed by his high-maintenance wife. Mariah keeps her home spotlessly clean, but Nick is more relaxed when it comes to housekeeping.
“She hates when I'm messy when it has to do with her nice stuff. Like, I can't throw my jacket on the Marilyn Monroe piano - but I do,” he said.
Nick, 29, also revealed how he impressed Mariah on their first meeting. The TV presenter made sure he was smelling good and did a quick work out to ensure he was in top condition. “I wore my good cologne. Did some push-ups. Tried to get my grown-man look on,” he added to America’s Entertainment Weekly magazine.
Mariah recently revealed she is finally starting to feel comfortable with herself, and credits her happiness to Nick. She is pleased she has defied critics who were sceptical about her whirlwind wedding and is confident she has found her perfect man.
“People were surprised when we got married, but it seemed like the right thing to do and wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for us,” she said. “I definitely feel more complete than before.
“There’s a void you have when you don’t feel you’ve found the other part of who you are, so I’m in a different place now and that’s nice to experience.”
