Paris Hilton Says She Is A "Tomboy At Heart"

The hotel heiress is famed for her designer wardrobe and hard-partying lifestyle but she insists her public image does not reflect her true personality.

The 28-year-old blonde beauty claims she is far more comfortable at home doing “average things” than walking the red carpet in a glamorous gown.

“Not many people know that I’m a real tomboy at heat. I love to go fishing and do oudoorsy things,” she told Australian magazine New Weekly. “A lot of people just see the red-carpet, glamorous side of my life, but on Sundays I like to kick back with no make-up, watching TV and spending time with my animals. I even have to pretend I like American football as Doug insists on watching it. Pretty average stuff, really!”

Paris is also irritated that most people assume she has had an easy life because her parents are wealthy. She insists she has had to work hard to earn a living, and is not the same party-loving person she once was.

“One of the biggest misconceptions about me is that because I’m a Hilton I don’t have to work and that my parents gave me everything on a plate,” she explained. “In reality, it’s the opposite. I’ve built this brand all on my own and I’m heavily involved in everything I do. When people were first introduced to me I was 16, and they’d see pictures of me partying in New York and this image seems to have stuck and many people assume that’s all I do! Everything about me is different now.”
