Ricky Gervais Will Never Strip Off In Movies Again
Ricky Gervais The comedian has forged a successful Hollywood film career in recent years, starring in hit movies including The Invention of Lying and Ghost Town. Ricky insists nudity is not essential to films, and says he will never strip off as he does not have a good enough figure.
“I don’t want to see this body – nobody does! I went down to my boxer shorts in my last film. Yes, there were some breasts – but they were big, hairy and mine,” he said.
Ricky added although he is happy with his film career, his first love will always be comedy. He caused outrage when he presented the recent Golden Globe Awards after he made a number of jokes at celebrities’ expense – including comments about Mel Gibson’s drinking, Sir Paul McCartney’s divorce and Angelina Jolie’s adopted children - but has no plans to tone down his act. “I’m more passionate about my own work,” he said.
Ricky starred alongside Jennifer Garner in last year’s The Invention of Lying, about a man who finds he can tell untruths when no-one else can. Both said at the time they would never strip for a role, with Jennifer insisting: “I will not be taking it all off! Zero percent. No, thank you. The world deserves better. Not interested.”
Ricky quickly added: “OK, well then, it's equal. It's joint equal at, 'No way! Absolutely no way!' There's no chance of me doing it. Unless I had a stunt one.”
