Gerard Butler locked lips with a mystery woman just a few minutes after meeting her.

The Hollywood hunk was wandering the streets of Venice Beach in California, when he came across the pretty brunette who was carrying a violin case. They began talking, and after some flirting the Scottish actor moved in for a kiss.

“He was spotted making out in Venice (California, that is) with a violinist he allegedly just met on the street Sunday, according to the paparazzi. She instantly fell for his charms and camo cargo pants after just a few minutes of flirting,” E! online reports.

After kissing for several minutes in full view of passersby, Gerard eventually broke off. He then muttered something to the bemused woman, turned on his heel and walked away.

It has recently been rumoured Gerard is romancing actress Jennifer Aniston. The pair were thought to be dating after they grew close while shooting new movie The Bounty Hunter last year, although their romance quickly fizzled out.

However, they were spotted flirting at the recent Golden Globe Awards, sparking speculation of a reconciliation. The pair presented an award together, and spent much of the rest of the evening by each other’s side. “After they presented, they were drinking Moet champagne backstage. At one point, they were making out. They were attached at the hip all night. They definitely seemed very couple-y. Producers for the show were actually laughing about it over their walkie-talkies,” a source said.
