Lindsay Lohan hosts slumber party
Lindsay Lohan The Mean Girls star – who is confined to her Venice Beach, California, house for another 25 days as she completes her punishment for stealing a necklace and breaching probation – is monitored by an electronic tag on an ankle, but can still receive visitors.
So, to observe seven days having elapsed since her sentence started, a bunch of friends arrived at Lindsay’s home with overnight bags to be greeted by Ali, the 24-year-old’s younger sister, who invited them inside.
However, as well as enjoying this restrained party while confined, the Freaky Friday star has spent a lot of time considering her future and career, according to her publicist.
Steve Honig told RadarOnline.com that “Lindsay is spending some much-needed time by herself”, catching up on some “reading” while also “cooking and watching movies, as well as talking with her representatives about future projects”.
Steve added that Lindsay “is also receiving occasional visits from family and close friends” as she see out her sentence.
But there was a moment of concern on Monday when Lindsay’s “electronic monitoring system went off” due to a fault.
However, Lindsay’s lawyer was quick to explain that, “when a representative from the monitoring company went to her home”, they discovered that she was there and “the equipment was replaced the following day”.
Lindsay has also received a three-year probation as part of her sentence, as well as 120 days’ imprisonment and must undertake 480 hours’ community service following her arrest for lifting a necklace at an exclusive Los Angeles store as well as violating the stipulations of her 2007 probation.
She is, however, set to appear in crime movie Gotti: Three Generations – in which she will play American mobster John Gotti Junior’s wife Kim – when shooting begins in just a few months’ time.
