James Blunt says he 'dropped' godson during shoot for album cover
James Blunt Speaking live on US TV on Friday, Blunt said he tried to get his baby godson to be the model.
“I was throwing my godson in the air, trying to get the ideal album cover, and I dropped my godson and I broke him and then his mother wouldn’t let me use him so then I went online and found this picture,” said Blunt, 37.
“It’s taken on an iPhone and I am meeting the child for the first time today,” added the musician who is currently on a US tour.
Earlier in the programme, Live With Regis and Kelly, guest hosted by Josh Groban, Blunt flirted with blonde host Kelly Ripa.
“You play the guitar and you have this amazing voice but I didn’t know you were also a captain in the British Army who led a peacekeeping mission to Kosovo,” said Ripa, 40.
“I know, I look much bigger with a gun,” said the You’re Beautiful singer proudly.
“That’s incredibly…hot,” cooed Ripa.
“Thank you…wicked,” said Blunt as he put his arm around Ripa.
“I’m happy, I’m happy,” he grinned.
“Well I play Playstation so...” joked Groban, trying to get a piece of the action.
