Kate Hudson: Women without girlfriends are weird
Kate Hudson The 31-year-old actress thinks female comradery is sometimes overlooked. The stunning star treasures the close relationships she has with her female friends and believes having a strong bond with the same sex is vital, so can’t understand why all women don’t feel that way.
“I always feel like you have to watch out for a girl who has no girlfriends. It’s weird if she doesn’t have any. It means they don’t like women and how can you not love women? We’re really powerful when we get a group of us together!” she told Look magazine.
Kate also finds it incomprehensible that some women fall out with their pals over men. She is currently dating Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, who she is expecting a baby with later this year, and has seven-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson. Kate has never been short of male admirers, but insists the concept of arguing with a girlfriend about her love life is completely alien.
“I’ve never had that problem but I’ve heard about it. I’ve had friends who had real fallings-out over boys but I usually choose women over men. I’m definitely a girl’s girl. I’ve got a group of about six girlfriends and we’re really close,” she added.
