Nicole Scherzinger: Dolls reunion is cool idea
Nicole Scherzinger The 32-year-old songstress shot to fame as the lead singer of the R&B girl band alongside Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts and Melody Thornton.
All the girls have been pursuing solo ventures since last year and despite rumours of a rift, Nicole insists there are no hard feelings. She even believes a comeback tour similar to that which British girl band the Spice Girls famously undertook in 2007 could be on the cards.
“It would be cool if we did a reunion like the Spice Girls but right now I know they’re all happy pursuing their own careers,” she mused in an interview with the British edition of OK! magazine.
Nicole has triumphed as a solo artist recently, enjoying international success with tracks such as Poison and Heartbeat – a duet with crooner Enrique Iglesias. She has heard rumours her former band mates envy her achievements, although she chooses to ignore them.
“I know it’s hard because everyone wants to be at the front, it’s inevitable, but everybody has their own measure of success and happiness and I think the girls are going to find that,” she added.
“I’m happy for them and I would only hope that they are happy for me.”
