Liv Tyler confused by filmmaking
Liv Tyler The 33-year-old star has been working for more than 20 years, but continues to feel confused by her chosen career path. Liv has appeared in movies including The Lord of the Rings and Armageddon and always listens to her heart when she is choosing movie roles.
“I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager and sometimes I don’t feel like I fully understand the business and how it all works,” she said in an interview with Elle. “They’re offering you things and then you do something great and then you do a few more of that same kind of thing. I’ve done all sorts of different kinds of movies, but I was really just following my heart with the group of people I wanted to work with, the director, the film, everything.”
Liv’s next big screen outing is in drama The Ledge, and the actress has revealed she felt an instant connection to her character. Even though she found the movie difficult to shoot because of budget restraints, she loved the script and enjoyed getting into the role.
“I just really related to her. As a woman - as a strong and very independent woman. I’ve always taken care of myself and some part of my family,” she explained. “I’ve been working since I was 13 and I’m a mother now. I’ve been through a divorce. All these things have happened in my life, but I still feel quite vulnerable sometimes…
“With this, I literally felt like I was jumping off a ledge.”
Liv has a six-year-old son, Milo, with her ex-husband Royston Langdon.
