Anthony Hopkins: 'Tequila drove me nuts'

Anthony Hopkins Anthony Hopkins has admitted that drank so much alcohol as a young actor that he almost 'went nuts'.
The Hollywood stalwart said that before giving up the demon drink for good in 1975, he was constantly agonising over where his next drink would come from.
Speaking to CNN, the Oscar-winner said, "Tequila was my hooch. That nearly undid me, drove me nuts, so I stopped.
"I drank anything I could back in the old days… Whatever I couldn't eat - whatever I couldn't chew - I drank."
The 73-year-old then turned to Alcoholics Anonymous to overcome his addiction.
