Jennifer Aniston in TV ad for kids' hospital

Jennifer Aniston lends her celebrity status to a good cause with a new ad for a children's hospital.

The big-hearted star appears alongside a little girl battling cancer in a US TV commercial for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

During the 30-second ad, former Friends star Aniston, 41, says, "Last year, sick with cancer, Jordyn was given just weeks to live."

But her family took her to the famed kids' hospital where she got pioneering treatment after seeing the actress in another ad.

Jordyn says, "Now I'm in the St. Jude commercial."

As she kisses the girl on the face, Aniston tells her, "In it? You're the star of it."

Aniston has been a regular supporter of the charity, appearing in a number of adverts for the medical centre over the years.

The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is located in Memphis, Tennessee and is one of the world's leading children's hospitals.
