Kelly Preston in premature labour
Kelly Preston The 56-year-old actor was due to attend a charity event in the Australian city of Perth, but has piloted his own flight to return to the US so he can be at wife Kelly’s side.
Kelly, 48, has gone into labour early and wasn't expected to give birth to the couple's third child for another three weeks. Obviously, family took precedence over the event for national flag carrier Qantas and John was happy to return to America and support his wife.
"He's on the way back to the States because his wife's gone into labour," a spokesman told AFP.
"His priority was always obviously his wife's pregnancy and we completely respect that."
John and Kelly have been married since 1991 and are considered one of Hollywood’s strongest couples. In January 2009 their eldest child, Jett – who suffered from autism – died at the age of 16 following a seizure on a family trip to the Bahamas. The pair have a ten-year-old daughter called Ella Bleu.
Another premature labour occurred on Friday evening when R&B star Ne-Yo became a father. The singer’s girlfriend Monyetta Shaw went into premature labour and delivered a beautiful girl called Madilyn Grace Smith.
