Colin Farrell The Irish actor met Alicja Bachleda-Curuś on the set of movie Ondine in 2008, and they have one-year-old son Henry together. It has been claimed Colin called time on the romance after realising it was not working out, with Alicja said to have grown tired of waiting for the Hollywood star to pop the question.
“She realised that Colin is never going to marry her,” a source told American magazine Star. “He cares for Alicja and the baby but he wants to be a free spirit.”
Neither Colin, 34, nor 27-year-old Alicja have confirmed the reports.
Before settling down with Alicja Colin was known as a hellraiser, following the surfacing of a sex tape and a stint in rehab. Earlier this year he spoke of how much the relationship had changed him, explaining how much he enjoyed spending time with a then five-month-old Henry and his son James, now seven, from a previous relationship.
“Little Henry – he sleeps savage, 9pm to 7am every night, it’s great. I’m lucky, I get to be a hands-on dad as I’m unemployed, I’m not working at the moment,” he said. “I’ve had so much good fortune through my job – when I’m away I’m gone for four months but when I’m home I’m there for five months, which is great. Henry’s already got more air miles than most people thought – flying back and forth to see my parents in Ireland!”
