Nadine Coyle ‘shocked by fiancé’s violent past’
Nadine Coyle The Girls Aloud singer announced her engagement to American footballer Jason Bell earlier this month. She explained the proposal totally took her by surprise, so much so that she wearing her pyjamas when it happened.
Shortly after the wedding plans were announced, it was revealed Jason once got into a fight with a man at a bar. He hit Peter Marosi over the head with a beer bottle, resulting in Peter needing plastic surgery. Jason paid Peter £50,000 in compensation and received three year’s probation. He was also ordered to complete 300 hours of community service and had to give £3,300 to a victim and witness assistance programme.
Nadine was apparently shocked to hear of Jason’s past as he seems like a totally different person now. “Nadine insists he has been the perfect gentleman to her and not ever compromised her in any way. She can barely believe the man who treats her like a princess would be capable of going crazy and bottling someone,” a source told New! magazine.
Nadine and Jason are said to have spent time discussing the situation, during which Jason explained he is now totally different. He assured the 25-year-old he is a “changed man”, and they have agreed to put the incident behind them.
