Russell Brand: I secretly rehearse dance moves
Russell Brand The British comedian lacks confidence in his ability to move to music, insisting he isn’t very graceful. He often has to show off his moves in films, so has taken to rehearsing steps in the privacy of his home first.
“I always do that because I have to practice it for when I’m doing it in my films, I look at meself thinking, ‘Oh God. Is this what you’re really gonna expose to the world?’ Just to see if I can cope with it at first,” he explained.
Russell doesn’t like embarrassing himself in public, but still makes a scene if needed. He is a vegetarian and was recently presented with fish while out in public and felt he had to say something. One of Russell’s biggest heroes is singer Morrissey, who is a famous supporter of animal rights. Morrissey doesn’t eat meat, and is renowned for complaining when it is cooked at his shows.
“About three days ago was the last time I ate an animal. I was in a restaurant and they have me some dips. One of them was taramosalata. I didn’t know and ate some and it tasted like disgusting fish,” Russell revealed. “I said, ‘Can you stop giving me dead animals in my dinner please? I’m vegetarian.’ If that had happened to Morrissey he’d had smashed the joint up.”
