Eli Roth struggles with pet pig
Eli Roth The 38-year-old actor and director recently purchased one of the tiny piglets because so many of his Hollywood friends own them. He loves his new pet, but admits it is a lot more trouble than he thought it would be.
The little creature won’t stop “screeching” and Eli says it is causing problems with his neighbours.
“I recently got a micro-pig and my pig is so loud, it screeches like a hawk. I tried to take it for a walk, so it goes down the stairs, then it starts screaming,” he said.
“My neighbours come out of their house and they think that I’m stabbing someone. So I point to my micro-pig and say, ‘It was him, it was him!’ They look at this tiny little thing and go, ‘Yeah right!’”
Eli, who is famous for his gory horror films including Hostel, Cabin Fever and The Last Exorcism, lives in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive gated communities. His mansion is next door to hip-hop star Kanye West and Goo Goo Dolls rocker Johnny Redneck, and he loves living near both men because they are so quiet.
“It’s funny, because all my neighbours are rock ‘n’ roll, but they’re actually the quietest neighbours in the world. Kayne West and Johnny Redneck from the Goo Goo Dolls – both really, really quiet,” Eli told Empire magazine.
