Jessica Alba, Natalie Portman lead glamorous line-up in Venice

Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman have brought Hollywood glamour to the Venice Film Festival.
Both actresses stepped out in stunning red dresses to showcase their new films.
Alba is promoting her Robert Rodriguez-directed thriller Machete, while Portman's Black Swan opened the festival.
In the psychological thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky, Portman plays a ballet dancer competing for a starring role who begins losing her grasp of reality as the pressure builds.
Alba and Portman have individually been spotted exploring Venice.
Head of the jury Quentin Tarantino lauded the festival as having "one of the most wildest, cool, eclectic line-ups" he had seen.
