The 49-year-old actor has dined at some of the world’s best restaurants, but says a lot of lavish establishments drive him crazy. The star detests the etiquette observed in some places, and wishes waiters would just bring him his food instead of fussing over napkins and cutlery.

“I do like tasting wine but I don’t like fancy dinners. One of my pet hates is fancy service,” Hugh told the British edition of OK! magazine. “They sit you down, put a napkin over your knee and all that over-attentive stuff. I don’t care. I just like the food to be brought over very fast.”

While he dislikes fancy restaurants, Hugh demands luxury in other areas. He adores five-star hotels, and would rather stay in bed ordering room service than going out sight-seeing or hiking.

“I’m not an oudoorsy guy. I like very expensive hotels with room service,” he laughed.
