Shia LaBeouf is bankable star
Shia LaBeouf The Transformers star has topped Forbes magazine’s annual poll of the actors offering the most “bang for the buck”, earning an estimated $81 for every dollar he is paid. It is the second consecutive year Shia has taken the top spot on the list, which ranks actors in terms of who delivers the best financial return for their pay check.
Shia’s position on the list is down to the financial success of films including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which grossed $836 million at the box office in 2009, while his place at the top of last year’s list was cinched by Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which made $787 million worldwide in 2008.
Anne Hathaway came second in the poll, making $64 for every $1 she is paid, due largely to the success of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, which grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe came a close third, making $61 for every dollar he earns.
Robert Downey Jr. and Cate Blanchett rounded out the top five.
