Simon Cowell 'warns Derek off Cheryl'
Simon Cowell The music mogul apparently made his feelings clear when he invited Derek over for dinner at his London mansion, The Mirror newspaper reported.
Simon, 50, is said to have told Derek - who is rumoured to be dating the Girls Aloud singer - that Cheryl would be better off single.
A close friend of Derek's reportedly told the Mirror, "During the dinner Simon told Derek, 'It's nothing personal, I just don't think Cheryl should be spending so much time with you so soon after her marriage breakup'.
"She thinks he is wise and emotionally intelligent, which is why Derek is so scared that Simon's opinion could hurt them in the long run."
But a spokesman for Simon denied that he had stuck his nose in, telling the Mirror, "Simon wouldn't dream of telling anyone what to do in their private relationships."
