Julio Iglesias weds longtime girlfriend
Julio Iglesias The 66-year-old Spanish crooner tied the knot with Dutch model Miranda Rijnsburger, 44, in front of two witnesses and the couple’s five children on Tuesday. The ceremony was followed by a traditional Catholic mass in a chapel at Julio’s farm in Malaga.
Julio announced the marriage in a statement to Spanish newspapers yesterday.
Julio met Miranda in Indonesia in 1990 and they have been dating ever since. They have five children together, Miguel, 12, Rodrigo, 11, twins Victoria and Cristina, nine, and three-year-old Guillermo.
This is Iglesias’ second marriage. He was previously wed to journalist Isabel Preysler, with whom he had three children, Chabeli, 38, Julio Iglesias Jr., 37, and famous pop star Enrique Iglesias, 35. Julio’s marriage to Isabel was annulled in 1979.
Julio is one of Spain’s biggest musicians, having sold more than 200 million records worldwide.
