Michael Jackson's parents to divorce
Joe Jackson The pair became estranged five years ago and have lived apart since then. However Joe Jackson’s suggestion that his wife was to blame for their son Michael's death is said to have prompted Katherine Jackson to begin legal proceedings.
"I begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy," Joe Jackson said in June.
Mrs Jackson commented via her spokesperson: "Joe Jackson's statement and conduct toward Mrs. Jackson are outrageous."
"She's been humiliated by him for too long. She's absolutely livid. There's no going back," the Daily Star reports.
Katherine Jackson has sole custody of the late King of Pop's three children: Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and 'Blanket', eight, in California.
She has reportedly been reluctant to officially file for divorce due to the fact she is a Jehovah's Witness and doesn't believe in divorce, according to the Daily Mail.
