Vince Vaughn skydives with his mum
Vince Vaughn The Wedding Crashers star leapt out of a plane from more than 12,000 feet this weekend and his mother Shea followed close behind.
"We did it with the best," the 40-year-old actor said as he landed safely on the ground. "It was incredible – so much fun."
Vaughn, who is expecting a baby with wife Kyla Weber, performed the skydive with members of the US Army parachute team on Saturday.
The actor and his mother took to the skies during the Air and Water Show in Chicago, Illinois – Vaughn's home state.
"I'm excited. I'm glad to have this opportunity and feel like we're in great hands," the tired-looking movie star said before his jump.
An army cameraman caught the stunt on film and posted the daredevil video on YouTube.
Vaughn showed few nerves as he stepped out of the plane and fell through the sky. He even gave the thumbs-up sign as he headed for the ground.
After landing on the beach by Lake Michigan, the actor watched his mother's descent and ran over to give her a hug.
