Alex Reid wants to work with Stallone
The cage fighter harbours a desire to make it as a successful Hollywood actor and dreams of teaming up on the big screen with his idol.
Alex – who is married to former glamour model Katie Price – has been a fan of Sylvester since he was a child and was disappointed he couldn’t attend the UK premiere of his latest action movie The Expendables.
He had been keen to meet Sylvester and discuss a possible project with him, but is still hoping they can work together in the future.
“I was gutted that I missed the premiere of The Expendables, as Sly Stallone is my idol!” Alex revealed in his column for British magazine Star. “I have never met him, so I really hoped to have done so that evening – he is my ultimate hero and has been since I was a child. With any luck we will meet in the future. Doing a film with him would be my dream.”
Alex is currently undergoing intensive training and he travels all over the world to prepare for his matches. He recently visited Holland for some training sessions and although he was interested in seeing the local sights, he was worried having too much of a good time would impede his exercise regime.
“I was in Amsterdam for training last week,” Alex explained. “It was really hardcore – I got through five or six T-shirts a session, I was sweating so much. Gross, I know! I had a walk around the red-light district, and saw the canal and the coffee shops. We were going to eat in one, but I was afraid we would get high just breathing in the air, so we decided to steer clear!”
