Kelly Brook: I’m A Normal Girl
Kelly Brook The model-and-actress was unveiling her new poster campaign for Reebok in London, England, today when she spoke out against digitally altering images of celebrities to make them appear flawless. Kelly has backed a campaign in the UK which is calling for airbrushed pictures to be clearly labelled.
Admitting her new billboard advert had “probably” been airbrushed, the 30-year-old beauty insisted digitally enhanced images should come with a small warning at the bottom to show they have been changed.
"If people are being slimmed down in photographs then I think that should definitely be pointed out because you don't want to portray something that is unrealistic and unachievable to young teenage girls," Kelly said.
While the star is happy with her body, she insists she is far from a supermodel. Kelly says she is just a “normal” girl and maintains her looks by eating healthily and working out.
"I guess I'm not a typical 5'10 skinny supermodel, I'm 5'6 I'm curvy, I've got real boobs - that hang! I'm just normal,” she said. "Airbrushing has been around since the '50s. It's what Hollywood was built on and I'm a big fan of Hollywood and that whole era.”
Last month, Emily Blunt also spoke out against airbrushing, saying she hates it because she ends up looking like a Barbie. The British actress said she was happy with her body and doesn’t want younger girls to put unrealistic expectations on themselves to always look perfect.
