Katie Price To Top The Sunday Times Bestsellers List
One time glamour model Katie Price looks set to reach the number one spot of the Sunday Times Bestseller list with the publication of her lastest book in the Angel trilogy entitled Paradise.
Katie known also as Jordan will see her novel go straight to the fiction top spot for hardbacks as her Random House publishers revealed that the book is outselling its nearest rival by two to one.
Ghost-writer Rebecca Farnworth writes the books while mum of three Katie selects the themes herself. The 32 year old star said “I think it's brilliant that it's number one. It just goes to show people that when I really put my mind to something it makes number one and it's brilliant and I'm absolutely over the moon."
When asked were there any similarities between the main character of the novel, Angel - who revives an old relationship with an ex – and herself and Peter Andre Katie replied “No, it's a novel and it's fiction.”
Hoards of fans packed into Oxford Streets HMV to see the star sign copies of her novel and Katie also revealed the trilogy is set to be brought to the big screen along with her autobiography, confirming she already has a director and producer lined up in The States.
When asked if she would play herself in the movies Katie’s response was "No, I can't act to save my life.” Although she did add "I would do something like what Mel Gibson did. He produced a film called (Paparazzi), which I suggest everyone watches, and he made a cameo role in that, so I would do something like that. I might just sit on a sofa in the background, but not talk or anything."
The book is on sale now.
