Julia Roberts: Eat, Pray, Love-Inspired Products Go On Sale
Julia Roberts' movie Eat, Pray, Love can now drink, smell and wear products associated with the book on which the film was based.
The movie – which is based on Elizabeth Gilbert's best-selling memoir about her journey of self-discovery following the break-up of her marriage – premieres next month in the US.
To promote the flick, a number of American brands have teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to release special editions of their products – including tea, candles, perfume, jewellery and clothes – all bearing the Eat, Pray, Love logo.
Marcia Maizel-Clarke of Dogeared Jewels & Gifts, which is offering a line of earrings, necklaces, prayer beads and bags bearing the book's logo, told USA Today: "Women around the world have embraced this story and are eagerly awaiting the movie.
"The book, the locations and emotional journey of Elizabeth Gilbert inspired us."
Other Eat, Pray, Love inspired products include Tibetan prayer flags and meditation accessories from US home furnishings store, Cost Plus World Market.
US-based fashion designer Sue Wong has also created an Eat, Pray, Love range of garments.
Wong, who is originally from China, says on her website: "Like so many other people I read Eat, Pray, Love and was really inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert's personal odyssey.
"I think everyone can relate to being discontent with their life at some point and to the idea of losing yourself in order to find yourself.
