Kelly Osbourne went on a $20,000 shopping spree in a bid to get over her split from her fiance.

The 25-year-old star is heartbroken after separating from model Luke Worrall – who is rumoured to have cheated on her – and has turned to her credit cards to try and ease the pain.

A close friend of Kelly told heat magazine: “Kelly said shopping is helping to keep her from bawling her eyes out.

“Shopping makes her feel better about herself. She says it’s either shopping or eating. And eating is not where she wants to go for comfort.”

Kelly suffered further bad news when her dog Woody – a puppy that Luke bought her - died shortly after the break-up.

And during her bout of retail therapy, the TV star-and-model also decided to splash out on her other pet pooch Sid to try and make her feel better about the loss of Woody.

The friend added: “She even bought her dog Sid a new leather and silver studded dog collar. She wanted to pamper him after losing her other puppy. She’s buying stuff for her friends, too, and she got her mother (Sharon Osbourne) some silver bracelets.”

Kelly has opened up about her heartache at losing Pomerian Woody – who was thought to be around 14 weeks old when he passed away – and admits she doesn’t think she will get another canine friend.

She wrote in her Closer magazine column: “When I’m out of town my parents look after my dogs, so when I went to Las Vegas they had them as usual. I noticed mum sounded funny when I phoned home and when I got back, she rang and said she’d bring them round... I knew something was going on, and later she rang back in tears and told me Woody had died. I only had him for two months and the vet thinks he had a heart attack. It’s devastating. All his little belongings are still in the house. I don’t think I’ll get another as I couldn’t go through this again.”
