Cameron Diaz is glad she’s interested in sports because it makes it easier to talk to men.

The actress loves getting physical, saying the worst thing about her job is that it often means she’s too busy to go surfing or snowboarding. She is interested in all sports, and enjoys discussing their merits with other people.

Cameron says she was brought up to love the outdoor life, something she is thankful for. “I grew up playing sports. I love sports. I love playing sports, I love talking about sports, I love watching sports and going to sports, but that’s only one aspect of it,” she said. “It makes it handy, because you can hang out with the boys and not feel out of place. Men’s behaviour does not offend me in any way, shape or form. I love it, I love all aspects of it, but being a girl, I’m a girly girl at the same time.”

Cameron’s favourite way to spend a weekend is playing basketball with her friends, but she is usually too busy to do so.

Although her life is busy, the 37-year-old wouldn’t change it for anything. She is constantly asked whether she plans to slow down so she can find a man and marry, but that isn’t something she is interested in.

Cameron likes the unexpected, and says she couldn’t cope with a life which was totally mapped out. “If I say, ‘This is how I’m going to live my life,’ I am closing myself off to all these other possibilities,” she told British newspaper The Sun. “I’m the kind of girl who likes to be open to every possibility, who is open to all options. I’ve done OK so far so I’m going to trust myself that I’m going to do well as I go on. I get uncomfortable to have a plan.”
