The actress was at the convention to promote her new movie Red over the weekend. Based on the comic book series of the same name, the movie tells the story of a former CIA agent who assembles his old team to help him when he fears his identity has been compromised.

Helen loves appearing at Comic-Con, and was blown away by the lengths some of the other actors went to. Will Ferrell was one of several stars who turned up in full costume – he painted his face blue and donned a cape to look like his character Megamind in the computer animated movie of the same name – and Helen wishes she’d thought ahead.

“I wish I had dressed up now,” she said. “I could have come as R2-D2 because I liked him. He was cute.”

R2-D2 is the famous droid that appears in the Star Wars movies. Harrison Ford played Han Solo in the original sci-fi movies, and Helen admitted being in awe of him too.

“Or maybe I could dress as Harrison Ford – but that maybe isn't the done thing,” she pondered.
