Kelly Clarkson has joked she would ignore Simon Cowell if he tried to phone her.

The 28-year-old musician shot to fame on talent show American Idol, which is judged by Simon. Kelly insists she doesn’t hold any bad feelings towards the music mogul, but would worry about why he was trying to get in touch.

She was asked during an interview who she would call, send a text message to or reject if she discovered she had missed a call from Simon, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul – who were also on the judging panel when Kelly won the first season of American Idol.

Kelly revealed she would send Paula a text message and call Randy back, meaning she would have to give Simon the cold shoulder.

“I don’t really want to reject Simon. Maybe I would reject and call him back later, I would probably be nervous about what his call was about,” she admitted to British television show Hot Desk.

Kelly travelled to the UK recently and enjoyed the traditional cooked breakfast she tasted during her trip. The singer has a healthy appetite and refuses to diet in order to conform to expectations in the music industry. Kelly loves tucking into hearty meals when she wakes up in the morning and feels they give her the energy to deal with her hectic schedule.

“My favourite breakfast would be scrambled eggs and I like really crispy bacon. And I like baked beans, I love how they do baked beans in the morning in the UK,” she explained. “We don’t do that at home, we have them as a night-time thing. I will let my beans touch my eggs, I will let anything touch anything on my plate. I am usually mixing everything around.”
