Kelly Clarkson says she would only need Hugh Jackman and a good book if she was stranded on a desert island.

The singer has revealed she has a huge crush on the 41-year-old Australian hunk, who is widely regarded as one of the hottest stars in Hollywood. Kelly has joked she would love to get to know Hugh better, but accepts he has been happily married to Deborra-Lee Furness since 1996.

The 28-year-old musician also confessed she loves reading and often spends her spare time curling up with a good book and a glass of wine.

“I would take Hugh Jackman,” Kelly replied when asked what three things she would take with her to a desert island during an interview with British television show The Hot Desk. “I am sorry to his wife by the way – I guess I would also take a good book, one of my favourite books because you would be pretty bored right? Maybe I would take Jane Eyre.

“I would be reading while he is getting fish for us or something. He would be humping stuff around and I would be reading. I don’t know about the third one, maybe some liquor. Yeah, so I would take Hugh Jackman, liquor and a book.”

Kelly went on to discuss her disastrous experiences with boys when she was younger. She admits she did everything she could to repel the first guy she kissed, saying she didn’t want to lock lips with him but he refused to take no for an answer. He ended up “shoving his tongue” in Kelly’s mouth, much to her disgust.

The star also spoke about her first proper date. Kelly confessed she soon became bored when the guy kept making terrible jokes because he was so paranoid about being short.

“My first official date was horrible, it was with some random guy,” she revealed. “He came to the club where I was working as a cocktail waitress and he continued to talk about his height the entire time – even though he was taller than me.

“He ruined it by making jokes about how short he was. It just wasn’t funny. I never saw him again, I was like 18. I didn’t really date in high school.”
