Hayden Panettiere has revealed that she is having a "blast" while filming Scream 4.
The actress was spotted laughing with co-star Emma Roberts, 19, as the pair took a break from filming in Detroit.
Talking about the movie, Panettiere told MTV News: "For an audience that is so well-versed in Scream [films] and in what happens and who becomes the killer, it's trickier to throw them a curveball."
She added: "I think they've done a really cool job with the script, [and] we've had a blast on it."
Scream 4 is the fourth instalment in the slasher film series and is scheduled for release in April 2011.
