Christina Applegate Proud Of Family Film
Christina Applegate The actress has starred in many top comedies such as Anchorman and Farce of the Penguins, which are unsuitable for children due to their crude language and puerile content.
But Christina's latest project, providing the voice for Catherine in Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, will be something she can proudly show her goddaughter.
The actress regretted that she hadn't been able to let her goddaughter watch her previous movies and said that when she eventually has children she will enjoy watching Cats & Dogs with them.
"I've done so many movies that I've not been able to show my goddaughter. The past couple of years I've wanted to do things that I can, in my repertoire, show to my goddaughter and my future children," she explained in an interview with ET Online.
The animated movie sees the canine and feline species join forces to thwart a rogue cat spy and is the follow up to successful 2001 family comedy Cats & Dogs.
Christina stars in the movie with James Marsden, who provided the voice of the dog Diggs. James was also attracted to the movie because of its family appeal. He was keen to do a movie which only required his voice as it meant he didn't have to make an effort with his appearance.
"I have two kids, so it's like, 'This'll be a fun gig.' You go and roll out of bed and you don't need to worry about how you look, just lending your voice. It's a fun family movie that I can take my kids to see," enthused the father of Jack, nine, and four-year-old Mary.
